Why would Emacs be better than TextMate? I guess those shortcuts never made sense to me when I can do the same thing using shift and arrow keys with TextMate.

Wasn't TextMate built with Emacs in mind as well? There are a couple Emacs shortcuts if I remember correctly...</description>

		<description>Emacs - I love TextMate's bundles but the actual editor sucks, if either Vim or TextMate were as extensible as Emacs I would use them but they aren't and Emacs works pretty well. Yasnippet for Emacs provides snippets for Emacs and so does SnippetsEmu for Vim but Yasnippet is better.

OSX - sometimes on Linux but I have a MBP and enjoy not having to do anything to get my hardware working.</description>
